Sato In April 2026, a bronze statue of Ichiro Suzuki was unveiled at T-Mobile Park, home of the Seattle Mariners, to honor his astonishing achievements as the first Asian player inducted into the U.S. Baseball Hall of Fame and having his number retired by the team.
During the unveiling ceremony, there was an unexpected moment when the bat on the statue broke. Ichiro took it in stride, joking, “Last year, I fell just one vote short of a unanimous Hall of Fame selection, and today the bat broke. I see it as a reminder that there’s still something for me to work on,” drawing laughter from the crowd.
At the game after the ceremony, commemorative T-shirts was handed out to attendees, featuring an illustration of the statue along with the “SATO” logo as a collaboration with Sato Pharmaceutical and the Seattle Mariners.
Promotion Ads and product sampling of “Q10 Jelly”,”Yunker Energy NSF” and “Sparkling Yunker” were also sponsored by Sato Pharmaceutical at the stadium, contributing to a lively and successful event.
Since 2001, Sato Pharmaceutical has supported Ichiro in Japan through his appearances in Yunker TV commercials. The unveil ceremony served us to reaffirm recognition of his remarkable achievements. Sato Pharmaceutical will continue to support Ichiro’s challenges with “Yunker”, while also promoting initiatives of well-beings to all.
